Although she had a brief lesbian scene in Nic Andrews’ No Limits, fans will finally get a good look at new contract star Jesse Jane in Beat The Devil, a Robby D. directed title that features blonde-haired Jesse in two boy/girl scenes.
I recently viewed Robby D.’s Sinful Creations and thought that most of the sex scenes in that movie were somewhat under-directed. This time, the opposite is true as both the sex and the non-sex scenes in general are “jazzed-up” with so many flashy camera moves and effects, that it actually distracts from one’s enjoyment ofmore… the movie.
The plot is what you’d expect from a movie called Beat The Devil. Eric Masterson plays a man who has both a leg injury and trouble meeting women and ol’ Lucifer himself (played by Evan Stone and referred to as “Belial” in this title) makes him a deal where Eric can be the stud he’s always wanted to be and attract women left and right. It won’t cost him much, of course…only his soul.
We pick up the story years later when Eric is an older man and can still get the women, but can’t really perform anymore. He wants to renegotiate his deal with the devil, but the devil’s not buying Eric’s excuses. Eric is now being accompanied by Jesse Jane (who it seems has some magical abilities of her own), and Eric gets Evan to agree that if Jesse can outlast him sexually, he’ll get out of his contract.
This leads to a hot scene between Jesse and Evan which, if nothing else, proves that Jesse is the “real deal” when it comes to having sex on screen. What impressed me the most was how naughty she gets here, being quite aggressive during the sex and calling Evan a “bitch” more than a few times during the action! He penetrates her cowgirl, missionary and spoon, and then she finishes him off with a handjob that squirts his load onto her tits – although I must admit that the director didn’t do a very good job of capturing the pop shot, as the camera is a bit too far from the action at the time of Evan’s climax.
Jesse also gets the final scene in the movie, which pairs her with Mark Davis. I didn’t think this scene was quite as good as her pairing with Evan, although it’s still fun to watch. Mark starts off by sucking her toes and then gives it to her in the standing doggy and reverse cowgirl position, before jerking off onto Jesse’s lower body.
The movie also opens with a decent coupling between Angel Long and Eric Masterson that includes the title’s only facial climax, as Eric squirts all over Angel’s face and into her mouth. The other two sex scenes, however, are curiously tame for some reason. There’s a lesbian pairing between Jana Cova and Monique Dane that contains mostly tongue action and a bit of fingering (those who have seen the equally-tame lesbian scene in Robby D.’s Sinful Creations will know what to expect here). But perhaps the most inexplicable sex scene happens when Eric teams up with Felecia Fox for a pairing that is not only tame…it’s almost completely softcore! There’s oral going on which you can see, but when Eric starts giving it to her doggy style, you can’t see any of the penetration! What a almost-softcore scene is doing in the middle of an otherwise hardcore title is anyone’s guess.
As far as the extras are concerned, there's a nice commentary track with director Robby D. and star Jesse Jane; a very entertaining behind the scenes featurette than (assuming the movie didn't already do so) will make everyone fall in love with Jesse - who's just as cute out of makeup as she is with it on! There's also bios for Jesse and Robby D., trailers of other Digital Playground titles and a photo gallery.
Pick this one up for Jesse Jane and for Jesse Jane only. The story is confusingly filmed and somewhat nonsensical, but Jesse is fun to watch and certainly seems to be on the edge of adult superstardom. She gives two great performances in an otherwise sub-par movie.
