Let’s be honest, although Vivid has some of the best-looking adult performers in their camp, I’m not sure many fans would consider them “cutting edge” when it comes to DVD releases. I mean, this is the studio that just started to release some of their movies in anamorphic widescreen this year. So you’ll forgive me if I was a little skeptical going into the review of Virtual Vivid Girl: Sunny Leone. After all, if you discount those Dyanna Lauren titles from a few years back, this is Vivid’s first foray into the interactive sex realm...how good could it possibly be?<more…br/>
Well, folks, I’m going to lay it out straight for you...Virtual Vivid Girl isn’t just great...it’s the best Interactive release of the year, and blows away the Virtual Sex line (from that “other” studio) and is even better than Zero Tolerance’s Interactive Sex With Courtney Cummz, which I thought was a shoo-in for this year’s best Interactive DVD when I reviewed it just a few weeks ago. It’s really amazing what Vivid put into this disc, as it’s far more than just an interactive adventure with Sunny Leone...it’s a title that also gives viewers interactive fun with Lexie Marie, Lanny Barby, Amy Reid, and Charmane Star...and lots of combos between the five girls.
Perhaps the most amazing thing about this DVD is that, despite the fact that Sunny Leone doesn’t do guys on camera (a dildo is used for her “boy/girl” segments), Vivid still managed to pull off a great interactive experience. Sunny is so sexy and erotic during the action (as are the other four girls) that it’s going to be really hard for anyone who gives this 2-disc set a chance not to enjoy what they see.
Disc One begins with an introduction by Sunny (that’s right...no front-loaded ads on this Vivid release!), followed by a screen that will allow you to pick your sexual options. The selections on this first disc consist of: Tease You; Masturbate; Tease Her; and Get It On. On top of this, each one of these sections have special “Bonus” segments of their own...featuring the other Vivid Girls mentioned above. That means there is a ton of footage/options on these two DVDs (the box cover claims over 9 hours, and while I didn’t add it up, I have to admit that seems to be in the ballpark) that will result in hours of enjoyment for the viewer.
The “Tease You” section is divided up into five main areas: Strip, Boobs, Pussy, Ass and Feet – which are more or less self-explanatory. You’ll get to see Sunny strip or play with a specific part of her body, and have the option of one of two angles while you’re doing it. The neat thing Vivid has done here is that when you switch between the option of “Good Girl/Bad Girl” (similar to the Nice/Naughty) option that are on other Interactive DVDs, the “Bad” selection usually throws another girl into the mix. So, for example, when you choose “Bad Girl” for the “Boobs” selection, Lanny shows up to fondle Sunny’s chest; or when you pick “Ass,” you’ll get to see Amy Reid playing with Sunny’s behind. Additionally, there are bonus selections in the “Tease You” section that allow you to see Charmane strip; Lexie & Lannie strip; Amy play with her boobs; Lexie show off her legs; and Charmane play with her nipples. And this is just the first section of the DVD! As noted above, Vivid has spared no expense at what they’ve thrown on this release.
The “Masturbate” section allows the viewer to choose between watching Sunny use her fingers, vibrator or a dildo, with (once again) bonus options that show Amy using her fingers to get off; or Lanny penetrating both of her holes with a pair of toys. “Tease Her” is where “you” get to play with Lanny – fingering her, eating her pussy, or fucking her with a dildo. The bonuses in this section feature using a dildo on Amy, and fucking Lanny with a dildo...the latter of which is especially fun, since the “Bad Girl” mode for Lanny means you get to slide a toy into her ass! All of the above also feature a “Make Her Cum” button, where you’ll get to see one of two orgasms per girl/selection – depending on if you’re in the “good” or “bad” mode.
The rest of the DVD is where the hardcore sex is...with Sunny getting fucked by a prosthetic cock; while Lexie and Lanny take the real thing in their bonus segments (which includes a nice dual blowjob performance). Viewers will get to choose between blowjob, missionary, cowgirl, doggy and reverse cowgirl – and one of the nice options included her is both the option for “you” to cum; as well as a separate option for Sunny (or one of the other girls) to cum. I also have to give props to Vivid for getting the angles right. Almost every other Interactive DVD I watch gets the reverse cowgirl angle wrong by showing it from the front (as if you were watching it) instead of how “you” would see it if you were actually having sex with a girl. Vivid gets it right here, and the reverse cowgirl angle is shown properly.
As if everything on the first disc weren’t enough for a top-notch release, Vivid has included a second DVD with even more options – this time with the girls playing with each other in interactive lesbian segments. Viewers will have the option of watching the girls pair-off in kissing sessions; girl/girl sessions (with a dildo); or taking turns riding the Sybian sex machine. The Sybian section is particularly appealing, since this is a section that gives viewers the option between three different angles.
Disc Two also includes a two-angle striptease segment with Amy Reid; a full-blown (one angle only) hot tub orgy with all the girls that runs about 15-minutes in length; 3-minutes worth of bloopers; a 30-minute Behind The Scenes featurette; and a nice selection of slide shows.
The video is full-frame, and the audio is 2.0 Dolby, but the quality of both is top-notch – making this release not only one of Vivid’s best, but one of their best-looking as well.
Color me amazed. I didn’t see this one coming, but Virtual Vivid Girl is one of the best adult releases of 2006, and quite possibly the best DVD release from Vivid Pictures ever. It’s a must-have!
