Endlessly reviewing porno flicks can make your dick hard, but your mind numb. The ever-flowing tidal wave of gonzo usually means a variation of the same look, conduct and production title after title. Luckily, we have SLAVE TO LOVE, a feature film apparently shot on high quality video to give weak and weary reviewers like myself something to enjoy. Jessica Drake stars in this action drama as Brooke, a domineering and sexually active woman who can't get her pussy-whipped beau Cheyne Collins to meet up to her demands. Though I've always found Miss Drake attractive, I have to say that she's never looked sexier than in this movie. Her gorgeous figure and blonde beauty is matched by her awesome oral skills, as demonstrated in slow, loving detail for the very first sex scene, stars in this action drama. The fucking positions are equally well-executed and well-shot (love those high heeled boots and black lingerie which Jessica wears throughout). Raincoaters may complain bitterly about the lack of anal or a facial in this scene, but I found the scene hot nonetheless thanks to Robby D's excellent camerawork.
The story continues with Cheyne discovering "a hidden world of paradise beneath his pool" which of course leads to hot, horny women (led by the stunning Alexa Rae) who want to help our hero grow some balls. As part of his self-confidence program, we get a luscious lesbian scene courtesy of blonde bombshells DoLorian and Tammie Alverson. Relying only on their tongues, fingers and lips, the girls administer enough seductive and sensual pleasure to keep you all worked up for the remainder of the movie. Again, the conduct is graphic but leisurely paced. We are allowed to enjoy the girls at work as they enjoy themselves without feeling too time constrained.
Jessica then gets it on with Herschel Savage, who is probably old enough to play her grandfather (but hey, that's just sour grapes on my part). The two apply their mouths on each other's genitalia - with Jessica once again doing some excellent and very wet oral work - and fuck in the forward and reverse cowgirl styles until he splooges on her low back.
After watching so much of the action, poor forgotten Mr. Collins finally gets to participate again in an outdoor encounter with Miss Rae (why this girl isn't a porn superstar yet, I haven't figured out). She goes down on him for a while and uses a little more hand action than I prefer to see, but hey, it's Cheyne who has to "suffer." He then he returns the oral favor, before they bump and grind mainly in reverse cowgirl and standing missionary position.
Yet another amazingly beautiful blonde appears in this movie, in the form of Stormy (playing a secretary), who looks like the lust child of Jesse Jane and Monica Mayhem. She laps at Jessica Drake's quim lovingly, and Drake bends her over for some finger banging and pussy rubbing, allowing Stormy to sneak in a taste every once in awhile. It's just too bad we don't get to see more of this blonde goddess elsewhere in this flick.
Now, even with a bigger budget, improved acting, and a competent script, most adult movies are still woefully amateurish when compared to mainstream dramas. SLAVE TO LOVE is no exception. It does compare favorably to your average "Skinemax" or made-for-cable movie, but if you're looking for characterization and drama on the level of a "White Oleander" or "Joy Luck Club" then definitely lower your expectations.
Extras on the DVD include a bunch of trailers, a photo gallery which you can view at your own leisure or let play automatically, and a text biography of Robby D.
The letterboxed images on this production, although not anamorphic, are a sight to behold. It's hard to go back to the garish lighting and static camera movements presented by most gonzo productions, when you have cinematic images like those found in SLAVE to enjoy. So do yourself a favor and take a break from all those el cheapo gonzo productions by watching a real quality porn movie for a change.
