Though a rather popular series, I’ve not been altogether impressed with previous volumes of Barely Legal. I was, however, pleasantly surprised with the outcome of number 14. Normally I hand out judgment based solely on the individual work, but I deviate from that rule, this time, to further clarify my reasons for deeming this disc “good”. The enlistment of two individual directors and a delectable cast of newcomers provided the first notable separation-factor. Unlike those I compare it to, number 14 spent less effort on force-feeding viewers trite dialogue and badmore… acting. Rather, this installment focused heavily on simple yet comfortable settings, better delivered dialogue, attractive cast and hotter sex pairings. It’s not a picture perfect, but it’s certainly an improvement.
Another positive attribute is, what I call, “girls to watch”. Eighteen years old, new to the business and full of energy, there are a couple young ladies viewers will be seeing probably for the first time here, but should keep an eye out for in the future. I especially refer to the soft-spoken, petite and perky Ayla. Shoulder-length black hair, erect nipples, blemish free natural body, youthfully firm ass and dark labia formed to perfection – an ethnic beauty I hope stays in the business for a while. Fortunately, along with Ayla, the remaining female cast members qualify as “hot”, or at least “do-able”. Most importantly, though, these girls all possess more potential than what I’ve seen in other volumes. Maybe it was a directorial effort to better urge actor charisma or possibly the minimized emphasis on acting ability. One thing is for sure… all the females in #14 put on very genuine performances, laced with good attitudes that shine brightly.
Barely Legal #14 is composed of five titled chapters. Each presents a young lady, confiding in a diary, her personal noteworthy exploits with a male counterpart. All scenarios are boy/girl trysts taking place outdoors. True…the titles, like "Big House/Big Cock", are silly and so are some of the situations, but overall the sex outshines any less-than-logical glitches. Back to the “sex”, it’s hot but not too extreme - viewers can expect the usual positions, blowjobs, cunnilingus, yet only one instance of anal. The “shock-value” inclusions are reserved for peeing and inner-mouth cum catching footage. So, ultimately, there is a sense of balance when adding up all the aspects.
Though all chapters reach a pleasant plateau, two deserve special mention. "Big House/Big Cock" stars the previously described Ayla. Staying at her wealthy aunt’s house-in-the-hills, Ayla longs for male attention, actually one in particular. Poolside, waiting for her man to arrive, Ayla’s mesmerizing body glistens in the hot sun. Upon arrival, he expresses a slight shock that she would be naked, but soon loses his inhibitions and strips down joining this beautiful lady. A wonderful passionate sexual encounter ensues, complete with Ayla taking a mouthful of jizz. My only complaint: this guy couldn’t achieve full wood until halfway through the scene!
The other noteworthy scenario, titled "Artist Touch", tells the story of a young art student mystified by the male physique. Britney invites a very attractive guy, played by Cheyne, to model for her. Inside her studio, drawing and painting turns abruptly into a fiery, sweat-laden fuck-fest. An intense blowjob urges a return favor of wet pussy kissing. This provokes the artist to open her legs wide for the handsome gent’s appendage. Climaxing the scene is a forthright explosion of semen on her tonsils.
Barely Legal #14, though targeting primarily a “solo” market, has some cross-section appeal to it. Not only are the females newcomers, the men are too. In fact, the guys in this film, with the exception of Trask who appears with Ayla, are well-built and attractive. This factor could definitely provide some good eye-candy for potential female viewers. That plus the believably passionate performances, between one man and one woman at a time, certainly steer towards gaining a broader audience.
As for “extra” material… this DVD is limited to the average lot. Motion chapter indexing, play movie, slide show, web-site access and previews about sum up the interactivity. One more addition to the list of extras deserves worthy mention, a behind the scenes/ bio of Frank Bongiorno. This extra footage gives viewers a little insight into the mind of an adult film director.
