In Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo, James Stewart suffered from a fear of heights. In Antonio Adamo’s Private Eye, Mick Blue suffers from claustrophobia, and his condition causes him to get removed from the police force early in the movie, as his unwillingness to enter a long tunnel causes his partner his life.
Nothing soothes a troubled soul like some hot sex from your girlfriend, of course…especially when that girlfriend comes in the form of Julia Taylor, who is quickly becoming my personal favorite among Private Girls. She 69s with Mick and then goes into some cowgirlmore… and spoon penetration. Moving into the doggy position, she allows Mick to anally penetrate her, and then takes his load onto her chest. Well, I guess that fear of tight enclosed spaces doesn’t include Julia’s hot pussy!
Mick goes to see his former boss, played by Zenza Raggi, who tells Mick he has a job for him…he wants Mick to investigate his wife (Mandy Bright). When Mick starts following her, he discovers that she’s been visiting the cemetery and leaving flowers at a 100-year-old grave, and then going to a museum to spend hours starting at a portrait of a woman.
In the meantime, we find out that Zenza is having an affair with dark-haired Alexa Mai. While Zenza’s wife is out and about, Alexa and Zenza get it on back at his place. The action begins with Zenza giving her a little oral and finger foreplay, which is followed by her returning the favor with a blowjob. They have sex in most of the standard positions, and the coupling ends with a pop-shot to Alexa’s body.
Back at home, Mick is quite depressed pondering both losing his partner and following around Mandy – whom seems just as depressed as Mick is. One of Mick’s buddies, played by Steve Hooper, comes over and decides that the best way to cheer Mick up is to take him out to the local bordello. We could all use friends like these! When the two arrive, they get into a threesome with blonde-haired Alissa which includes a really hot double penetration. Meanwhile, on the couch adjacent to them, Frank Gun has fun with the equally hot blonde Bobbi Eden.
In the next scene, we discover that Zenza (that dirty dog!) has yet another mistress, this one played by dark-haired Black Widow (I guess Zenza has a thing for brunettes!). But while Mick’s former boss is cheating on his wife, Mandy is doing the same thing with Mick, as the two (who have been conversing back and forth) finally give into their passion and get it on. But later that night, Mandy decides that the two should not meet anymore, and she tries to run away. Mick finds himself chasing her through the very same tunnel where his partner was killed, and unable to overcome his fear yet again – he hears a gunshot at the other end of the passage. Mandy, it seems, has decided to end her own life.
But the movie doesn’t end here. Steve once again tries to cheer his buddy up by a trip to the neighborhood’s house of ill repute – and to Mick’s shock, there’s a girl working there who looks almost exactly like Mandy’s character (she too, is played by Mandy Bright). Is it the same girl or someone different? You’ll have to pick up the movie to find out!
Presented in full-frame, the video for Private Eye is top-notch, and about the best you’ll see on an adult title. The audio is quite sharp as well, although once again we get dubbed English (and unfortunately dubbed sexual sounds as well) instead of the preferable option (in my opinion) – which would be the original soundtrack with English subtitles (or at least the option to view the movie this way). As for bonus material, this DVD has a nice behind the scenes featurette, a bonus scene that was cut from the film (between Zenza Raggi and Niky Bellucci), cast biographies, a photo gallery, production notes, plus five trailers for other Private titles and the trailer for this movie.
This Private feature is both plot-heavy and erotic, and it’s one of my favorite Adamo-directed titles of those I have seen. If you’re a fan of Private movies, this is one of their best releases of the year.
