Private DVD once again shows us spoiled, lazy Americans how porn is done with their superbly produced compilation, ANAL INTRUDERS. Although the title is rather generically titled, it aptly describes the sodomaniacal conduct which is performed so well by those European beauties and captured so dazzlingly by their artistically minded directors. My only caveat about this DVD is that the actual running time of all the scenes totals less than ninety minutes, which is not quite the one hundred minutes promised on the packaging. I suppose if you added up all the bonus features that it would total closermore… to what they advertise, but I would have appreciated one more scene thrown in for good measure.

But that's just pure nitpicking. Whereas most comp titles from other studios slap together a bunch of scenes without regards to pacing or design, Private approaches their "greatest hits" DVDs with care and pride in their product. The eight scenes are assembled with special attention directed to variety and theme (it opens with a threesome involving Alissa, Katerina, and Steve Holmes from BACCHANAL, continues with a one-on-one with Susy and Chocky Ice excerpted from PURE PLEASURE, and barrels on with a gangbang focusing on Brigette taken from SUPERFUCKERS 4, and so on), so that the viewer never gets tired of seeing the same actress boinked multiple times, or the same type of action being repeated over and over and over (and over) again. It's the kind of collection a die-hard, hardcore fan might assemble on his own (keeping in mind, of course, those well-regarded copyright laws). Also, while most DVD productions don't bother giving information or credit as to the source of the individual scenes, Private gives us complete information on the title, release date, cast, location and director of all the vignettes as detailed in the DVD's Film Notes. To quote a line from a 1978 Super-blockbuster, "what more could anyone ask?"

Predictably, you also get a bunch of other well-done extras, including a crystal clear gallery found in the Photobook, a detailed Cast listing, a trailer for the main feature and a collection of previews. While studios like Wicked and Evil Angel have recently come close to matching foreign standards, Private has been making awesome DVDs since day one and is still unmatched in terms of video and audio quality (save for the usual dubbing on most of their movies).

But enough about the DVD, what about its contents? Well, it may not be too big of a surprise to say that all the scenes are uniformly excellent, at the very least on a technical level. The sex is performed so proficiently that some may complain about a lack of spontaneity and genuine heat in the performances, but hey, who cares about emotions when the women look this gorgeous? Actually, as a general rule, I dislike compilation flicks because I prefer to see a scene within the proper context of a complete movie. However, the hardcore here is done so well and unhindered by any pretense to plot, that keeping this DVD is a true no-brainer.

There are eight scenes taken from various titles, but for the sake of completeness, here's the remainder of what you get on this disc: Gina Blonde, Steve Holmes and Pascal St. James from PRIVATE XXX 14; the incredibly beautiful Sophie Evans and David Perry from DARK SIDE 3; Michelle Wild and Philippe Dean from LUST TANGO IN PARIS; Lucy and David Perry from MATADOR 15: SEX TAPES; and finally Britnee and Claudio Villa from INTRIGUE & PLEASURE. Gangbangs, two on one action, straight sex, as well as facials and orals are always on the menu. (The only thing this collection lacks is a girl-girl scene.)

Even if you have a couple of these movies in your collection, this compilation is still worth looking at for what uncovered treasures you may find from the Private catalog. I, for one, have already put in an order for DARK SIDE 3 based on what I've seen of this impressive excerpt, and I'm already making a list of titles featuring covergirl Susy (who resembles American pornstar Aja), who gives an award-winning butt and oral performance. But by far, Lucy is the one to watch in a mesmerizing one-on-one with her Euro-dude, who likes giving it to her as rough as she can take. The ending cumshot also happens to feature her licking off his droppings from a urinal (which, for you concerned about health and safety in the workplace, looks pristine and perfectly clean by the way) which is strangely but alluringly nasty.

You can't go wrong with Private, and you certainly can't do better with a compilation like ANAL INTRUDERS. Get it.
